05:17 am and i can't sleep.... youtube time...

The title pretty much says it all, it's 5:17 in the mornin here where i am, can't sleep and i decided to watch some videos. Just for fun i thought i'd share some fun to watch videos that i've found wandering around youtube and i'd love to hear ideas of some other videos to watch when sleeping just isn't doing it (all videos that i'm gonna post for now are from the AAI 2009 confrence)

First off, my favorite philosopher, Dan Dennet, giving a lecture called "the evolution of confusion"

Wow, I am doing the exactly same thing (Only it's 10:30 PM here). Youtube fun time! If only I could load videos quickly.....

These are better. I was watching atheist to Christian testimony videos. Not the brightest light bulbs, but oh well.

I was ABOUT to get up at 05:00 this morning, but forced myself (!) to stay in bed until my scheduled 06:30 wake up!

I have a subscription to a YouTube user by the name of Evid3nc3. He was a fundamentalist Christian who recently abandoned his faith and converted to Atheism. He is extremely well spoken, and doesn't take an offensive attack at Christian belief.

I think guys (and gals) like him have what it takes to 'bring out' other folks who are in the closet about their Atheism.

As for the 3 videos New Frontier posted, I have seen all of them. I think I liked Andy Thompson's the best, simply because he's such a great presenter (a standard I can base my own presentation skills on). Krauss did a WONDERFUL job putting the whole 'something came from nothing' into perspective (worth watching again and again). I love Dan Dennett, simply for his knowledge. While his delivery can be a bit slow, his message is relevant and hard hitting.

Also, found this video (two parts) today. It's called the four horsemen and is an unmoderated discussion between Richard Dawkins, Daniel Dennett, Sam Harris and Christopher Hitchens.

Saw that one, too (yes, I have TOO much time on my hands! )

It was interesting what Hitchens says near the end of the second part, where he states that he wouldn't want religion to 'go away' simply because he would not have anything to argue about then.

Its a different night than New Frontier's late-night youtube browsing but for me its 6:42am and I can't sleep from the adderall I took earlier (I know, I know... "Drugs are bad." -Mr. Mackey. But I was at a Muse concert, which was amazingly awesome, and wanted at least some kind of amphetamine since I couldn't get any MDMA).
But to get back on topic, I too am sleepless and aimlessly surfing the WWW, though not youtube since I watch too much there already. I saw this thread and thought I'd post some vid and channel links like everyone else to some good (opinion) atheist related media.

Atheist Media Blog is a good daily video site that covers the news, new funny/pertinent youtube videos, and random lectures concerning evolution, science, and atheism.

Mr.Deity is a hilarious youtube series that satires religion, mainly Christianity, with great production value and acting.

And finally, NonStampCollector is a youtube channel with, admitably, cheezy animation, but, its intentional so as to be a glaring, and comedic, contrast to its well thought out and concise arguments against religion.
