The thing to do is to use an in-private session... That way Google isn't using your search history it cookies.

You may be right. I tested it using three different browsers and two different computers on different internet connections and they all gave the same suggestions.

Come to think of it, Google is used by the World Health Organization to monitor the flu season... And it does this with search terms.

The number of searches for symptoms such as cough, fever, aches, pains etc, exactly mirrors the flu season. And so it can be used to track the virus, and predict outbreaks.

So I suppose Google can be a fairly good gauge of other things in society too... Like religion, the ultimate social disease.
