10: Pennsylvania 9: Idaho 8: Arkansas 7: Alabama 6: North Carolina 5: Florida 4: Rhode Island 3: Texas 2: Mississippi 1: Louisiana For more details feel free to read the article. True, I was too. I wouldn't say ours is though, pretty free population. Unless you grew up in a tiny cowboy town which shall remain unnamed.

Having lived very close to you during my teenage years in another tiny cowboy town that wont be named...If I had been honest and -not- joined that baptist church I probably would have been afraid. They are scary where you live. I'm unaware if your "out" to your community down there.
The valley here in Oregon is the only place I think that its not scary to be an atheist. Its only uncomfortable.... we should all move to Eugene

Yeah. From Portland south to Eugene is pretty good. Except maybe the city I'm in. We aren't terrible, but it doesnt fit in with the rest of the crowd.

I've lived in four of those states, and the only one I felt threatened in was Mississippi.
