It's a bit ironic, of all people Blair has the balls to say anything, or remind anyone he had a part in Dubya's great folly.

"Disaster" for whom? I'm fairly certain that the invasions, and occupations have thoroughly profited (financially, and politically) the few peoples whose opinions on whether it was a disaster or not actually matters when it comes to setting US and its allies policies.

Disaster? Hurricane Katrina was a disaster. The earthquake that hit Haiti was a disaster.

The Iraq war was an all out genocidal assault on women and children, perpetrated by a group of psychopathic mystics that cost the world trillions upon trillions of dollars in cold hard cash, opportunities and the lives of innocent human beings.

For the second time in my life the US has gone to war on a false charge of aggression. The first was Vietnam and the second was Iraq. Yeah...I'd say Iraq is a disaster for America - an outright tragedy.

It will go down in history as one of the most unnecessary wars.

I was no fan or our PM at the time, Jean Chretien, but not participating in that war was a great decision. And actually a fairly ballsy one. I used to curse the television every time Bush said "coalition of the willing".

What scares me is how many people still think 9/11 was an unprovoked attack.
