Anj - you and your body have been through some traumatic shit! Don't drag yourself into the jitters... pop this mile stone into your pocket and treat yourself to something this weekend... just you. Smile Keep it simple and kind of frivolous ... maybe even dumb... big or small... make it unexpected... spur of the moment... middle of the day or middle of the night ... all alone or in a crowd. The most important thing is to reflect on it: This is just you doing something for just you.

And then, when you feel every molecule of yourself doing that single, simple thing... realize how those molecules of you are connected to the planet you are standing on.

Warning: the last time I did this for myself, I dribbled a chocolate covered ice cream bar down the front of my shirt along with a few joyful tears. It all washed out... just saying, "play clothes" might be appropriate. Wink

Exam and talk with the doctor went well. Regular blood tests already back and very good. Will be a day or so before I get results on the CA27-29 (cancer marker test). I will see her again in June and from there we will go from twice a year to every June for 2 more years. The June visits have been where she does a chest X-ray as well as blood testing.

So, a half sigh of relief.

Kim,
I bought myself a pretty watch. I haven't worn one in a while and have wanted one lately. I didn't miss it for a while, seemed like the clock was ticking loudly enough in my head. It's a nice watch, got a good price and a discount so it's not extravagant...I like it a lot. It's my combination Christmas/three year present to me...I sure won't get one any other way. Currently it's at a jeweler's shop because it needs about 4 links taken out.

Have to saw chocolate sounds like an excellent prize...I see Dove dark chocolates in my future. Tongue

Pic of the watch?

I have a good feeling you're going to be a survivor, Anjele! Hang in there!

Thanks everyone!
The pic doesn't show that the face of the watch is mother of pearl...and no, those aren't diamonds, I sure don't have that kind of cash. But it looks nice and I like it a lot. Was on sale plus another ten percent off and with what I am getting back for trade-in on textbooks the cost to me was very reasonable!
