Spooky! I love it! Big Grin
Idea If only Gaddafi had seen this, maybe he would have marked that July 29th date on his calendar and got out of Libya before then. He might still be alive today!!
Dodgy A lesson to be learned: Always look to sitcoms to help direct our lives and ensure our survival!!! Sitcoms are practically the modern equivalent of God and so Gaddafi should have known to look for some sign....
Situation comedies work in mysterious ways.

RE: 1980s Sitcom Predicted Gaddafi's Death
Well from his age when he died (69) he was at the top of the life expectancy so it's really not hard to place a date within 5 years for the sake of a sitcom. Because it happened to be the same year that doesn't mean anything.

If it had predicted the actual date and the manner of his death then maybe people could get worked up about it.

I think this could be a good case against prophecies in the Bible. Said Prophecies are either written after the fact, vague enough to apply to any event, or self-fulfilling. If a 25-year-old TV show can predict a dictator's death to within an accuracy of 3 months, anybody can coincidentally guess that a given event will occur.
