'2 and 1/2 Men' Star's Testimony
MOD EDIT: ADDED THE FIRST PART FOR COHERENCE
GUITAR_NUT EDIT: THANK YOU!

So this guy has a personal revelation and is now 'preaching' against his own show. The theists are absolutely eating it up; check the comments.

If Jesus died for our sins, why is there still sin? If man was created from dust, why is there still dust? If Americans came from Europe, why are there still Europeans?

What if he's just doing it to boost ratings? I need to clarify this, I've never watched the show...but a friend mentioned it to me, that he's begging people not to watch the show...

I think some religious leech has just latched onto the poor (well, not literally) kid. Let's hope they do not manage to screw his life completely.

RE: '2 and 1/2 Men' Star's Testimony
In studying cults, I learned that when people feel the most helpless about their future they're the most vulnerable to cult-like influence. Now, I'm in no way suggesting that 7th DayAventists or Kirk Cameron are involved in cults.

However both of them would claim with quite a lot of amusing vigor that the OTHER is a cult. ;-)

Notwithstanding, I do believe that most religions strongly rely on that "cult-like" mentality. Even though each would ague they are not...but again, everyone else is...or have been bamboozled.

It just never ends....

When he begins bribing viewers with his $300,000 per episode to restrain them from watching, I'll take him seriously.

Leviticus does not justify stupidity, but it is more than enough to define corruption of the human mind.

I don't think I need to watch the videos. I caught a clip of him on the "news" and think I know how these things work. This is the sort of thing that the Christees eat up. They love celebrities that turn to Jesus. Pretty soon he'll start appearing regularly on the Trinity Broadcasting Network. After that you'll see him starring in really bad, Christian movies.

True. You've reminded me to start that Christian Movie thread I've been thinking about.

RE: '2 and 1/2 Men' Star's Testimony
And here comes the inevitable public apology:
http://www.cnn.com/2012/11/27/showbiz/an...?hpt=hp_t2

A day after a video posted online showed him describing "Two and a Half Men" as "filth" and advising viewers to stop watching the sitcom, actor Angus T. Jones apologized to the show's cast and crew Tuesday.
"I apologize if my
remarks reflect me showing indifference to and disrespect of my
colleagues and a lack of appreciation of the extraordinary opportunity
of which I have been blessed," Jones said in a statement released by his
publicist. "I never intended that"...
