2 questions to ask a theist.
If you only had 2 questions to ask a theist and you had to make the two questions make the most impact on changing the theists beliefs what would they be?

Mine are:

1. Do you believe in Santa Claus?

2. Why did you stop believing in Santa Claus?

That would pretty much be it.

1. When you die, can I have your stereo?
2. When I die, can I take your stereo with me to hell? Seriously, a 70s Pioneer? That is nice.

E 2 = (mc 2)2 + (pc )2

2 K(s) + 2 H2O(l) → 2 KOH(aq) + H2 (g) + 196 kJ/mol
It works, bitches.

This isn't gonna help, but de-conversion is complex. There is nothing few questions will do, as belief, and non-belief are a mix of factors, only one of which is rational arguments.

I like where you're going with the Santa thing, but it seems like there's a wasted question. My guess is that by assuming they don't believe in Santa is just a smart way to play the odds. Then you could ask something else...

1. Why did you stop believing in Santa Claus?

2. Insert bonus question here <- how bout following with "why did you start believing in god?"

Savvy?

I have asked a theist those questions before, they usually don't answer and get mad....because the reason they don't believe in Santa would be similar to why it is reasonable not to believe in a god.

Nice way to completely derail a thread.

A belief isn't based on facts. The santa questions show that a particular persons disbelief in Santa are similar to ones disbelief in a god.

Why are you talking to me like I give a shit what your opinion is?
&
Why are you still here?

Or...

Why does god let about 10,000,000 children under the age of 5 die each year when I’m sure the parents of these children would be praying long and loudly to him?
(It's not that high, it's only about 8 million, 10 mill was 1990-2008 stats)

"Mysterious ways" is the answer nine out of ten times.

Is that the best you can do?

RE: 2 questions to ask a theist.
I'd use the standard AE questions:

1) What do you believe?
2) Why do you believe it?

I'd then list all of their logical fallacies and leave them to think about things.

After I've had a good laugh in their face.
