2013 Best and Worst Careers according to Wallstreet.
Here's the list!

Where do you fall? Do you agree? Is this list accurate? What would you choose if you could pick a dream career (for those not in fields yet) or what would you consider switching to?

I think my profession used to be higher on the list but for a few reasons is being pushed back. (Stress, competition, lack of industry standard, etc)

Eeeuuughh... Hmm.

I mean, #14 is "university professor". Which a), overlaps seriously with a number of other entries, and b), is an express train to nowhere given the serious denigration of tenure, explosion of administration, and clawback of benefits.

Well - according to every university professor I know.

... this is my signature!

Yea, more or less agree. Funny 30 years X-ray Technologist was on the list.

Today it didn't even make the cut.

My husband will be so happy. Undecided

I really think there are too many paralegals out there right now. But that could just be my area.

I consider "dream career" to be kind of an oxymoron. It's sort of the nature of jobs to suck, and that's coming from someone whose profession made the top 50. Dodgy

Although, I have fantasized about running away from it all and being a scuba guide in the Cayman Islands. On the surface (no pun intended), that seems like a pretty cool job.

And I told him "that's crazy..." Unsure

I'm in the top 20, twice.
I wouldn't disagree.

Morticians never make it on any list anywhere. I hate those questionnaires that make me pick my career from a drop-down menu. We're so underrepresented. Sad

Edit: funeral directors are #116! Color me surprised. No embalmers though.

So... physical demands, work environment, income, stress, and hiring outlook.
OK.

Currently ... Consider 108 is up from 148... but since I do both...

I see no entry for professional coffee drinker - I conclude this list to be incomplete. Drinking Beverage
