24 hour vs 12 hour clock
In your opinion which format is better : the 12 hour clock or the 24 hour clock? I prefer the 24 hour clock. I have all my electronic devices and watches in the 24 hour format. The day have 24 hours . So splitting the days in 2 periods of 12 hours doesn't make much sense. With the 24 hour clock you have a clear picture in which part of the day is at the moment.

Isn't that why the 12 hour denotes AM and PM? Consider

I prefer 24 hour unless it's a wristwatch.

I broke too many watches at work in scuffles with combative patients and stopped wearing them. I used to wear one for the purpose of a second hand for counting 15 second increments. Now I just use my phone timer.

It's 1616 in my neck'a the woods.

Yep but you need to know the AM and PM info. If someone tells you meet me at 9. But when ? 9 in the morning or 9 in the evening ? In the 24 hour format 9 is exactly 9 in the morning and the 21:00 hours would be the night equivalent. In the 24 hour format you never confuse the hours because all hours have different numbers.

I could ask, if I can't figure out 9am or 9 pm.
Are you on a daily word ration? Do you have to stop talking after you speak too many?

Meh. I never said you can't figure out 9am or 9pm. I'm only saying the 24 hour format is better. I don't get the second question.

24 hour vs 12 hour clock
I think that was a nice pablo way of saying "is it really that hard to say AM or PM rather than twenty-one."

12 or 24 doesn't matter to me, it just seems like you're saying you can't bother to ask am or pm. Like you're daily word use is rationed, and you have to use them wisely. Tongue
