Which book? The Torah? Consider

If so, just who do you think did?

Let's say, we have no idea who wrote the book/books. But for sure not those who interpret it/them for about 2,500 years.

Lets not.

Unfortunately for you, actual biblical scholars can make some really well informed inferences about which groups of people wrote certain parts, edited earlier parts, and the motivations behind their revisions and additions.

You are full of shit. The Torah is the work of the Jews in the 7th and 6th centuries BCE.

Alla, I wonder if you are going to address what I said here. I am not mocking you. I am really serious what you find in error with what I said.

I said that idea which is presented in your post is not plausible. On that we agree. Thumbsup

Except that is an honest telling of the story. Smith was a convicted con artist, the story about the Native Americans would surely be found out to be wrong (any god would have known that), and did he or did he not, use seer stones in a hat to dictate the translations?

Which part is not what is in the story of Smith? I would argue that a story like this is precisely what I would expect form a con artist wanting to start a following.

Four of the books "after Genesis" are still part of the Torah, and every book in the Old Testament was written by Jews (in the standard accepted sense of the word, not your restricted "tribe of Judah" sense).

Four of the books "after Genesis" are still part of the Torah, and every book in the Old Testament was written by Jews (in the standard accepted sense of the word, not your restricted "tribe of Judah" sense).
Those who interpret books of Moses or Malachi did NOT write them.
Neither authors of books of Moses nor author of book of Malachi gave their own interpretations.
So, those who interpret those books for about 2,500 years:
1) did not write them
2) did not receive revelations form God, so they can not be trusted in their interpretations.
