3 Stupid justifications for police brutality
1.
Quote: the actions taken by the officers were by the book
Then i think you book needs serious revisions

Quote:2. the officer felt threatened
Why the heck did you become a police officer of course your going to feel threatened that's like saying you choose to become a swimmer but don't think your going to get wet so you drain the pool

Quote:3. it's serve and protect so long as there no possibility i might get hurt or die
Again why the hell are you a cop

RE: 3 Stupid justifications for police brutality
The police need to police us, but we need to police the police. Body cameras, cell phone cameras, dashboard cameras are the solution. A law which states that uniformed cops are to always to have the expectation they are filmed/recorded and that it is a felony for a cop to interfere with the recording of uniformed police activities needs to be passed. Policing should be transparent.

Breaking news: 3 more cops killed and many more wounded in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

People wonder why cops have itchy trigger fingers? Approx 150 cops are killed in the line of duty every year. Criminals fight the police, resist arrest, refuse orders to let cops see their hands, and wonder why they get shot for putting their hands near their waistband or in their pockets.

Cops are sick of seeing their fellow officers shot. They want to go home to their families after their shift. If they're trying to put someone in handcuffs, and that person keeps resisting and putting his hands anywhere a gun can be hidden, the cops will shoot.

We've had 10 or more cops murdered in the last week or so.

If the goal is to have police in full military gear driving in tanks instead of patrol cars, we're on the right track.

I don't know where you are getting your numbers from but you are way over the line.

http://www.npr.org/sections/thetwo-way/2...study-says

Quote:But despite several high-profile shootings of police in 2015, the group also says more officers died in traffic-related events (52) than from gunfire (42).

The number of police officers killed by gunfire fell 14 percent from the 49 who were shot and killed in 2014. Seven of those shootings followed traffic stops; six were surprise attacks on officers, such as the Aug. 29 slaying of sheriff's Deputy Darren Goforth at a gas station in suburban Houston.

Far more cops kill themselves.

http://www.officer.com/article/12156622/...statistics

Quote:Law enforcement suicide is real and yet the police culture continues to ignore the facts. The #1 one killer of police officers is law enforcement suicide. Law enforcement suicide occurs 1.5 times more frequently compared to the general population.

Cant be that guns are handed out like candy, which makes cops paranoid and have an itchy trigger finger.

I didn't label the cause of death, just that approx 150 die in the line of duty every year (gun shot, assaults, accidents, vehicle pursuits) http://www.nleomf.org/facts/enforcement/

If fuck heads would stop resisting, fighting or fleeing, our cops would be safer.
