I find most atheists to be "trolls", the basis for the position is opposing someone's else view.

You may see my questions as antagonistic but they are genuine. Disagreement must equal trolling obviously, the term is overused.

Lack of belief and dislike of religion can be reason for atheism, but they don't make it a logical or rational perspective. It all reeks of materialism.

Here's you contradicting yourself, you're simply a troll who looks to attack anyone who questions atheism:

" If it were simply a matter of non-belief in one or another person's view, it would be silly as fuck to form a group on that basis."

Oh, look -- Fallacious Quote Mining (quoting out-of-context)!

That was part of a comparison with the larger issue of an entire group of believers who would impose their beliefs on us by force.

Time for a remedial Reading Comprehension class for you, Bucko.

Or you could admit the truth that you are being a disingenuous, lying, full-of-shit troll.

And yet I am still running circles around your sorry ass, and destroying every bullshit assertion you make here. In style.

That should tell you something.

Yes it does, affirmations from someone who is insane are likely to be wrong.

I'm sorry but I haven't been back to this thread in a while; can someone explain the purpose of this thread?

But as if to knock me down, reality came around
And without so much as a mere touch, cut me into little pieces

What of theism?
Have you gone on to theist forums and asked them...
Why do you have an active belief?
What is the purpose of theism?
Why believe evidence is (or will be) available to confirm a god?

If you have gone to theist forums and asked these questions, why do you do this?

Please respond. Drinking Beverage

Yes I will respond, but don't have time to right now. I will do so later.

You had time enough to write several pathetic attempts at responses to me.

So you are now making up your own definition of "trolling", too. How cute.

Quote:You may see my questions as antagonistic but they are genuine.

Because the disingenuous troll says so? That's a laugh.

Quote:Disagreement must equal trolling obviously, the term is overused.

Self-delusional rationalization.

Quote:Lack of belief and dislike of religion can be reason for atheism, but they don't make it a logical or rational perspective.

No, the logical and rational perspective that led us to atheism is what makes it logical and rational. Such as the understanding that there is not a shred of evidence to support theists' extraordinary claims.

Quote: It all reeks of materialism.

Spoken like a true theist-apologetic troll.

Trolls are simply in opposition to others views?

So... If someone went around claiming that a giant talking jellyfish invented the first spoon, anyone whos position opposed that, is a troll?

Give this man the key to the forum, he is our intellectual superior!

Yeah, pretty much kid logic.

I know its been said already, but you either ignore it or didn't see it:

If you are answering: "Do you believe in God?"
You have two possibilities: Yes (Theism) or No(Atheism)
There is no middle ground with belief

If you are answering: "Does god exist?"
You can say: Yes(gnostic), No(gnostic), or "I dont know" (agnostic)

Most here are agnostic atheist. We dont believe in god, but dont claim knowledge of gods nonexistence.

If you are truly agnostic, you still either believe in god or not.

Like atheism (OP question #2), this thread has no "purpose".

I prefer fantasy, but I have to live in reality.
