34,000 Year Old Organisms (Bacteria) Found
Interesting find buried deep in the Earth:

http://news.yahoo.com/s/livescience/2011...-container

And of course the comments below the article get pretty interesting too - more and more religious people get their beliefs threatened by everyday news stories. Not that the oldest living organism is an everyday occurrence, but you get what I'm saying.

Our brains deceive us on a regular basis, so we have to find ways to fight back.

The find is interesting but may I please make a request ?
When it comes to a science story try a journal like Nature/Science etc. - mainstream news tend to botch up stories when they report them.

Also , I find the comments on Yahoo are in dire need of troll fumigation.
The more recent ones seem more decent and less stupid so I'm guessing that's when the atheists arrived Tongue

yea, the religious comments are pure LOL
theres someone there saying "the poor babies, buried alive, I hope god took them quickly :'("

Hey brother christian, with your high and mighty errand, your actions speak so loud, I can't hear a word you're saying.

"This machine kills fascists..."

"Well this machine kills commies!"

Finding a bacteria turns into a debate about god. Some people have short circuits in the logic wiring.

When I find myself in times of trouble, Richard Dawkins comes to me, speaking words of reason, now I see, now I see.

No , it's just that every scientific breakthrough plugs a knowledge gap where god hides. That's all.

What happens when we run out of gaps?

That will never happen (at least in the POV of theists), because all you have to do is to reject science, as evolution is currently rejected.

Does that bring us back to my claim about some people having short circuits in their logical wiring? Tongue
Imagine 34,000 year old organisms sitting in wheelchairs in old organism homes. Tongue

Impressive but what is more impressive is the retardation present in the comments. This will leave me with some good musing while I wait for my Domino's Pizza to be delivered.

You've ordered Domino's pizza? I don't know about god but Domino's pizza is proof there is a devil.

Man, I'm glad I live in a place where we can get the real thing.

Shackle their minds when they're bent on the cross
When ignorance reigns, life is lost
