Well, at least, he's not a misogynist-sexist-Neanderthal corporate asshole. And too bad he's not black - would have been a wet dream for the Republican Party. How about those black CEO's for McDonald's, and Microsoft, what do you think they are doing now - think they could do it???

Trump is a self made man - he's not out to slight the humble nincumpoop. Hillary is scraping for a life of luxury that she believes she deserves - she approaching delusional.

Self made implies he started with nothing.
No, he's not self made. Trump inherited money from his family.

Wasn't Bill Clinton's father an insurance salesman? I believe he also went to college on an achedemic scholarship.

Going from the kid of an insurance salesman to POTUS would be self-made.

Don't all politicians lie?

When the voters' expectations are at best unrealistic and at worst completely based on fantasy and superstition, only a politician who is either dishonest or an idiot stands a chance at garnering their support. The mere fact that a significant number of people support either of them is itself proof that they're probably not the best choice.

As for his politics, I haven't a clue. No, I would not vote for him.

That has to be one of the most depressing posts I've ever read.

Why else would anyone vote for or not vote for someone if not their politics?

That makes no sense to me.

Sad

RE: 3rd option for POTUS
I voted for Gary Johnson in the last election, and I’m voting for him again in this election. Neither Trump or Clinton represent my political views, and Johnson hits the mark a lot closer than the major party candidates do. Johnson is more of a Libertarian moderate, I think, and his views embrace aspects of both the Democrat and Republican parties. Maybe he could get the parties working together again so we can fix this country.

He’s been a successful two-term governor, doesn’t have anyone in his back pocket and he doesn’t have a major political party to appease. He’s also an authentic Washington outsider, which a lot of people want to see in the White House. If he can get (I think) 15% in the polls, then he can participate in the presidential debate alongside Trump and Clinton. I think people should have the opportunity to hear what he has to say. He got 2% last election, and he's currently polling at 11% in this election. It's a big jump. People are obviously dissatisfied with the candidates and taking notice of other options.

Where Johnson stands on some of the issues:

- Reduce military spending by 20%
- Legalize recreational use of marijuana.
- End the war on drugs.
- Abolish the department of education and return the power to the states.
- Pro choice
- Keep social security and Medicare for those who have paid into the system.
- Against the death penalty.

In a nut shell, he’s fiscally conservative and socially liberal. My kind of guy. Smile

I know. That's what I said. I don't know about his politics so I would not vote for him. Sorry it depresses you that I wouldn't vote for someone without knowing what they stand for.

Maybe I'm not expressing myself well. Sorry.

RE: 3rd option for POTUS
Depends.

If I vote on pure principal then yes, Gary Johnson is the way I would go.

If I'm being reasonable then Hillary Rodham is the one I would choose.

I'm still researching them all, but the part of me that is/was a libertarian is being forced to make concessions. Morally I think they are right, but the pragmatist in me accepts that it isn't reasonable.
