A.F.L Grand Final.
This Saturday, round 2PM. (Melb time) the Australian football Grand Final is to be played.
My team, Sydney Swans, versus Victoria's Hawthorn, Hawks.
In excess of over 100,000 fans are expected and it is the major sporting event in Australia.
Have a look, if you aren't too busy posting. I believe it is televised over America.
Go Bloods!

I thought you were rooting for the Swans. Who are the Bloods?

In America we usually either cheer for the Crips or the Bloods.

The swans are also known as The Bloods; or blood stained angels, not sure of the origin.
There jumpers are red and white.
Originally the team was South Melbourne; they had to relocate to Sydney 30 years ago as they hadn't won a cup since 1933.Also, Australian football has only become a really national game since that shift.Rugby used to be played in Qld and N.S.W. so the move also sought to get established over rugby.
A former Canadian 7s rugby player, Mike Pyke will be playing for Sydney.
6.37 am Sat Melbourne time now. Not sure when the game is in U.S. eNJOY!
Who the Hell are the Crips?
