I have friend like this, and my mother in law isn't far off it sometimes either. My friend tends to bounce between anti abortion, homophobia (gay agenda!), big pharma, Monsanto anti GMO, scientists withholding cancer cures, vaccines casing autism and various forms of quackery.

Give me your argument in the form of a published paper, and then we can start to talk.

You made it 54 seconds??

That sounds like you're a paragon of patience and acceptance...

I took one look at the title and decided it could fuck off...

There should perhaps be legal limits on YouTube consumption per day.

I prefer qualitative rather than quantitative limits.

What say you?

Regarding the deep end friend (assuming that you are not using the term in the euphemistic "I have a friend" sense), I'd say he needs support and encouragement to re-enter the real world rather than any systematic debunking of specific claims.

I wish you luck, Pablo.

Yeah, this guy's coo coo for coco puffs. Just spouting out nonsense off the top of his head. I watched this once before on the Armored Skeptic. He made watching it much easier.

He said he's been laid off work for six months. Could be.

Oh well, there it is; he has too much time on his hands. He is in danger of slipping into a hermit hole and he is clutching at the only thing around: virtual reality a la interwebz.

This guy needs to expend some physical energy while participating in real world, news, & philosophical discussion. He'll need to be around someone who isn't crazy, of course. That's how you can help. Angel

Pablo, do you have any yard work or home remodeling that needs doing? Invite this guy over in the guise of needing "a helping hand". No doubt he's desperate for actual human contact (no homo) and will jump at the chance to ... clear out the garage or perhaps, do some rewiring.

Surely you could use a new deck? Shy
