A Hard Reset
If God is real, then why did he settle on imperfect creations?

The flood myth suggests that God tried to start over, but He didn't really. Humanity ended up sinful again, and God apparently shrugged His shoulders. If God is omnipotent, He was and is capable of destroying humanity and starting completely over. Would we be sinful creatures no matter what He did? I'm skeptical of that. Is it really impossible for him to design creatures that do what he intends: believe in Him freely? If nothing is impossible for God, then the obvious answer is "no".

What is He waiting for?

My girlfriend is mad at me. Perhaps I shouldn't have tried cooking a stick in her non-stick pan.

RE: A Hard Reset
He's omniscient. He knew Noah's daughters would fuck their dad if the rest of the world was destroyed and he gets off on watching incest porn. Therefore, the flood makes perfect sense.

Yeah, it's not perfect to us, but we aren't psychotics. If we were, this old world we've got going would seem idyllic.

He's had eternity to get things right, Huh and expects us to do his dirty work with a minimum of fuss......

He's like the lazy dad that has a stained beater on and sits in a lawn chair in the living room, shouting at his kids to get him more beer.

He's actually not waiting for anything. He's been busy making your life (and countless others) a living hell on earth, you just haven't noticed his presence. Jokes on you and the best is yet to come. He will kill off all the people you care about, then eventually you. He'll slam you with disappointment, regret, despair, fear, etc., and all the time make it look like you just made bad decisions.
...but he will never give you more than you can handle. That's why there are NO SUICIDES in the world. He never pushes anyone too far just for his amusement. Thumbsup

The old gods are dead, let's invent some new ones before something really bad happens.

I'm just trying to figure out why all of you are so sure he's a "he" ; )

I'm thinking that it should be more of an "it." Maybe like the robot in Futurama.

I try to be as courteous to opponents as I can manage. Christians believe God is a capital H "He", so that is the term I always use. Existent or not, God the character is also male. I would say "Bender is awesome, he is my favorite character in Futurama" even though he is just scribbles on paper.

Ya know, maybe it is a women. I mean with all these "God made" natural disasters that seem to be happening once a month.... makes sense...
God gets a little moody so throws a tornado here or there.
