So, what I'm getting from this is; the best way to piss of the Chinese people is to be an alcoholic gambler in a homosexual relationship and having sex before getting married and then having an affair.

I'd be interested to see if the numbers of e.g. people who actually *have* extra-marital affairs match up with the numbers who disapprove of it... But I guess data collection would be an issue. Can't exactly go hide under the bed...

The structuring of such so called research polls can lead to further confusion.
Where people ambiguously express 'no opinion' there is a tendency to think their view reflects the status quo.
The fact that controversial issues do not lend themselves to hard line absolutes ( they often need considerable nuancing) also makes for some messy conclusions.
