Today You had it in Your plan that many at the Boston Marathon should experience a terrorist attack. There have been injuries; some have gone home, and still more may cross over to You. We accept in faith that Your plan will be revealed to us in time, but until then we pray for the rapid healing of those who will live, the glory of heaven for those who have gone home, and the courage as a nation to act with the power of Christ against those who have wrought these evil deeds.

If there is a lesson to be learned, we want the wisdom. If there is love to be shown, we want to be its instrument. If good can come in the face of disaster, we will wait for it, but if war has come again, may we exact Your perfect wrath upon those who have harmed the innocent.

Place upon the heads of those who suffer now and those who mourn Your perfect peace, dear Lord. Let nothing be in vain.

In the name of Christ, we pray. Amen

Since your god decided who would be hit by shrapnel and who would be missed, why would you pray for those who he chose to maim or kill? This was god's plan after all.

And no prayer for the souls who may be burning in hell? No christian compassion for them? Seems to me that they need it the most.

Why pray for understanding of this? God will either reveal it to you or he won't. Are you attempting to sway his decision or something?

I don't even feel any discontent. Ego® doesn't get it and won't get it.

At least his prayer didn't include wishing for all of us heathens to burn in hell.

He is as impotent as we are to fix the situation in Boston...the difference is that we (the heathens) realize that fact. Ego® really thinks that some plea to some god will actually make things better.

I'm not anti-social. I'm pro-solitude. Sleepy

Why are you posting this here, Ed?

Because it's all about attention for Egor. Nothing else. No one will see anything unless he uses the atheist blog. Weeping

I've noticed your reputation throughout the time I've been on this forum. I don't like to judge others based on what other people say; I tend to make my own opinions. That being said, I saw this post and got very uncomfortable. I wonder if you saw the news and immediately went to the "atheist site" in order to get a "rise" out of people.

I watched the news from the second I heard about the incident. I wanted to learn about what happened to all the innocent people and to see if any of the bad guys were apprehended. I wanted to know that something was being done to catch the individuals responsible.

I also noticed in another post that you were praying for an individual. When someone asked if you were genuine, you claimed that you NEVER joke about prayer. (When I find the exact post, I will share and ACTUALLY quote you.) I sincerely hope you were genuine in your concern then and in this post. Otherwise, you join the ranks of religious people that only pray for others in order to seek attention or "brownie points" from their god or other people that share your religion. Those people make me sick.

Do something tangible to support those harmed in the explosions, if you can. If you can't do that, pray for them in private.

What part of my prayer says anything about atheists? What part of my prayer says anything about you or how you live your life? You didn't have to click on my post and come in here and comment. You chose to.

You can claim ignorance of intent all you want. You're just an idiot so I don't really care. Its just another reinforcement to how I feel about christians.

If you can look at that picture and maintain your composure, you're a better man than I.

And Martin Richard should have lived, why?

You are an arrogant fucking asshole, Ed. You should be thoroughly ashamed of that.

But you won't be, because you are insane.
