"From a Christian point of view, is it better to be an atheist that does good works, a Christian that does no good works (and is generally selfish) or a Christian that does bad things—murder, rape, pedophilia, etc?"

• Will God allow a pedophile to repent of his sins and enter heaven?
• Do Christians judge you more by the beliefs in your head, or by your behaviour toward your fellow man?

How do you not know answers to very simple questions about Christianity and still make a decision to be atheist?
It seems If I were making a decision that may have eternal consequences, I would make an effort to know everything I can about a religion that claims to have the answers?

I can't follow your talking points. Please stop posting your replies within "quotes" it makes it impossible to follow what you're actually trying to say.

there are more than one religion that make these claims. do you know everything you can about all of them?

The key folks is they are all CLAIMS. Based on the writings of superstitious patriarchal societal men. The creator of all gods was man, the creator of all religions was man. There exists not one scrap of evidence that magical beings exist, and a cargo ship full of evidence that these claims are false.

If one actually reads what supposedly were the words of Jesus he said he was not God and to not worship him. Paul came along later and decided that Jesus was part God and should be worshiped, ye I am aware that other passages of the Bible have Jesus saying the opposite, but that is how the Babble works. Anything in the Babble has some other place in the Babble contradicting it.

what is the name of the prophet who claimed to be God and where is this claim written exactly?
why can't an atheist who does good works enter heaven?

Define prophet

Define god

Define heaven
