A bold move...for me
I have the youversion of the bible on my iphone. I was looking something up and decided to create an account. Then they wanted to send me a t-shirt because somehow I had shared it with "the other 16." I guess one out of 17 people with an iPhone or ipad don't have the app. So in my increasing desire to mix it up with christians, I posted the following note on their website. It might get deleted; it might get scorned, but it felt goodBig Grin. My subject line was "Get a clue":

"You helped 16 people get connected to God’s Word through the Bible App."
I'm trying to figure out how I did this. How did I do this? Oh well.
Anyway, what I wanted to say is that I am an atheist. Thank you for the free bible. I got it at the suggestion of my brother, who is also an atheist. As you well know, atheists have a better knowledge of the bible than most christians. Your free bible just gives me more opportunity to learn more about the ludicrousness that is christianity.
“Properly read, the Bible is the most potent force for atheism ever conceived.” Isaac Asimov
Happy reading!
P.S. Why are there so many freaking translations? Why is the great message so confusing and contradictory? Why is it not just in a readily available form of information (not a book!) for everyone everywhere since the beginning of time, you know...like dirt is.

Correction: 16 out of 17 with an iphone DON'T have the app.

Oops - someone's marketing ploy backfired.
Opportunity taken - well played.

Wow - that must feel good! Smile

As the old saying goes..."There is no such thing as a free dinner"
Socken may well expect magazines and even door knockers now.
As he points our evangelists are often their own worst enemies Big Grin
