One thing, I'd like to add: Unicorns.

Ahhh.... positive in, positive out (don't ask unicorns what this means, just don't)

That has got to go on my facebook. Thanks Lady Jane. By the way, you may not believe this, but I have on DVD the movie Lady Jane with Hellen Bonham Carter in it.

You think an atheist wants to hear other atheist opinions? Fuck no. Atheists and theists want the other side to hear their opinions. The problem with TTA is you have too many atheists, and the theists you have are milquetoast theists.

You don't know how many Christian MSN groups I used to get banned from. I'd go in there all piss and vinegar, and they were just a dozen or so boring, fat ass women posting pics of little cartoon kids holding flowers with "God Bless Your Day!" underneath it.

I'd be like, "God HATES weak Christians! and they'd ban me--go figure.

The point I'm making is your going to make this forum into one of those cliquish MSN Group Christian-like forums, but you'll just be atheists instead. Christopher Hitchens is dead; no one gives a rat's ass what Dawkins thinks anymore. I suggest someone from here step up to the plate--Or my kingdom will eat your kingdom. I will drink your motherfucking milkshake, mate.

That -6 rep draws people to my post. The only ones not reading my posts are the ones who give me postitive rep points. Just sayin. Drinking Beverage
I find it ironic that you get banned from all of those christian sites, the people who you are meant to share common beliefs with, yet you have not been banned from here.

Why do you think that is Mr Ed?

For no matter how much I use these symbols, to describe symptoms of my existence.
You are your own emphasis.
So I say nothing.

Exactly my point. I'm not talking about what TTA was, I'm talking about where it's headed. I was looking at the banned members section. You banned Janus for being a sock puppet. Why? That's stupid. I've never understood that. Every online nic is an individual personality.

Unless "Janus" was doing something to get banned, why lose the member? The nic he was before was posting porn. Yeah, I'd ban that nic, too.

But that's my opinion. You guys can "become" whatever you want. The Veridican was inspired by this forum the way it "was."

Sock Puppeting has always been a bannable offence. It's not a new development. There's really no point banning someone if they can just sign up again straight away.

Best and worst of Ferdinand .....
Best
Ferdinand: We don't really say 'theist' in Alabama. Here, you're either a Christian, or you're from Afghanistan and we fucking hate you.
Worst
Ferdinand: Everyone from British is so, like, fucking retarded.

Janus's original account on this forum under another name was banned for constantly spamming the shout box with ads after being warned to stop. another account was banned first post for posting spam, Sock puppetry has always been against the rules its nothing new.

You know, I hate to do it, but I have to agree a bit with Egor here. Maybe no that we need strife so much, but we need differing ideas and viewpoints. It would be pretty boring to all sit around here and preach to our own choir. Sure, even the choir members would have differing and often weird viewpoints on various things that would come up sometimes, but we could do that on any forum. Want to debate the latest video game? Well, we could have a thread with 10-20 posts about here on an atheist site, or go to a gaming site and have hundreds of threads about that one game.

My point is, we're attracted here mainly because of a common interest in atheism. That's the meat and potatoes. The rest of our discussions are gravy, or maybe an occasional side dish. And what really sparks interest is when someone has a differing view of the main course - we all jump in on those.

This is not to say that crazy insulting trolls are the solution. I'm just saying that I agree with the part of Egor's post that I quoted. Of course, he's wrong about the rest of his post, as usual.

I see no indication that boring is in our future. Drinking Beverage

Sorry, I left in more of his post than I thought.

I don't see a problem with this site, I was just agreeing with him that the diversity makes it more interesting, too much conformity and homogeneity would make it less interesting.

I would welcome more diversity here, very few theists stay. Most tend to join, say their piece then disappear. It's ashame really.
