A christian site parading as scientific sites
I was fact checking something on Darwin and so I googled "darwin evolution"

Do it with me. What's the very first site that pops up?

http://www.darwins-theory-of-evolution.com/

Normal looking name, right? So I click it and scan down looking for some info... and a few things pop out at me and make me go, "wait, what?"

First warning, the title on the page is:

"Darwin's Theory Of Evolution - A Theory in Crisis"

I'm like "What? Was there a recent discovery that I'm unaware of?" So I kept glancing and as soon as I saw the section where the Theory of Evolution is being thwarted by the concept of Irreducible Complexity... I knew this was the work of theists. Because any 12 year old with access to youtube can refute irreducible complexity.

All the related links to the side are subtle references that Darwin was actually being helped by ministers (so theists want credit for this theory that's wrong?), along with "the epic battle of creationism vs evolution."

It was kinda sh!t that they would pose as a legitimate scientific resource... but it's only one site right? Click on the Explore More Now! link.

Yup! This one's called www.allaboutscience.org and has such brilliant topics such as:

"DNA Double Helix: Its Existence Alone Defeats any Theory of Evolution"

..keep clicking.
Allaboutphilosophy.org
Allabouttruth.org
Allaboutgod.org
and so on and so on, getting slightly more and more christian-y with each new site... the final one asks you if you are ready to become a christian. I clicked Yes... they congratulate you and offer to send you their CD.

My favorite is when they claim that Zeus, Jupiter, Brahma, and all the other gods ever were just different names for the Christian god.

"Ain't got no last words to say, yellow streak right up my spine. The gun in my mouth was real and the taste blew my mind."

"We see you cry. We turn your head. Then we slap your face. We see you try. We see you fail. Some things never change."

You have come across a problem I have been contemplating, and that is that, since digital media can be so easily manipulated there needs to be some type of publishing certification system, where organizations insure the integrity of the material with their unique "signature," for their constituents.

Like the other day, I was going over, for the first time on my eReader, the federal constitution, and it seemed like there were phrases that I thought were different then what I had read previously in other formats; and so, I had to delay generating any inferences until I confirmed the integrity of the text.

Humanism - ontological doctrine that posits that humans define reality
Theism - ontological doctrine that posits a supernatural entity creates and defines reality
Atheism - political doctrine opposed to theist doctrine in public policy
I am right, and you are wrong - I hope you die peacefullyCool

It's a shame they do not have a forum section... I would be happy to register.

Also it is a shame that they even exist. I wonder where do they get the money to buy theese domain-names? But after flat earth society i am not quite suprised.

It's not really that much of a surprise. Interpolation is a typical underhanded method applied by insecure Theists, so as to pass their fable off as credible on the back of others who have done the real work to promote real science.
Or, as in the case of Josephus, credible history.

It was inevitable I guess. When "Creation Science" can be taught in some public schools as if it is a true science and not a poorly contrived myth, those responsible have to co-opt a credible vehicle, like Darwin, so as to supplant the fiction with age old scientific theory.

Look at it this way, the Theists invested in this misrepresentation are simply demonstrating how insecure they are about the state of their faith surviving as is, in a world that's no longer able to be manipulated to believe inside the god box.
People are leaving religion and the churches in huge numbers. The Church of England a few years ago was so lame and afraid about that fact that they blamed, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" , for the exodus of the huge numbers of female parishioners from their flock. Now, that's desperate! A fictional vampire hunter made women leave the church, because it couldn't possibly be the invisible friend Santa clone knows all, see's all and grant's boons if one prays hard enough, just doesn't "feel" right anymore, could it? Noooo!

Yeah, it's amazing how many well-adjusted new atheists we have in our community now. A few more million and we should pretty much be able to better control the distribution of truth and do what ever it is to prevent the distribution of wrong information.

You know, it's a good thing they're white, otherwise, you would be considered a racist for such a statement. What do we call someone who, self-righteously, completely disrespects the existence of people who believe in something that he does not believe in?

How do you know they are white? How do you know that I am white?

When I wrote "it's a shame they exist" I ment the webpages, not the people who created them, of course.
