Yes, with a straight face and totally serious, they believe God made everything a plant eater and at some point just decided "Fuck it, eat meat bitches".

30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.

Needless to say, fossils show predation was common from the first appearance of multicelled organisms.
