I don't know. What are you smoking? Tongue

Haha! I was referring to the post above mine...I think Dom may have posted in the wrong thread...I had to scroll up and down to be sure I wasn't in the wrong thread.

Thanks, earmuffs; that is very informative. I feel lucky to be a newbie then.

Have fun!

But what Muffsy failed to mention was that he was the main cause and main flame-fanner of most of it.

That's why we're so proud of him.

I see.

I think Dom was warning me that the man in the mirror may get much older than he looks now.

The level of scepticism here keeps me good and grounded. I like that.

(I tried to type scepticism on my phone and the auto correct tried to make it American Weeping )

But now I have come to believe that the whole world is an enigma, a harmless enigma that is made terrible by our own mad attempt to interpret it as though it had an underlying truth.

The only thing that lets this place down is the boring conversations about gods that don't exist.

Oh wait....

So do Greeks. It's from σκεπτικός; dig the kappa.

As a Canadian I couldn't even tell you whether I consciously use the European 'c' or American 'k' spelling - probably both, intermittently and inconsistently.

But anyway, the Greek kappa is a k, but in Latin that's a c, so since the word entered English from Greek via Latin, either is correct - but etymologically I'd prefer the 'k'.

... this is my signature!

As a Canadian, would you say that you're a Merkin? ... hee hee

I like it here because people aren't stupid.

Shakespeare's Comedy of Errors.... on Donald J. Trump:

He is deformed, crooked, old, and sere,
Ill-fac’d, worse bodied, shapeless every where;
Vicious, ungentle, foolish, blunt, unkind,
Stigmatical in making, worse in mind.

Oh, that may be overstating things...

Most of the people here aren't stupid...we do have our token dumbasses.
