Unless he's a priest! Zing!

Seriously though, can't participate in homosexual acts which are sinful and.....what? still be a Christian? still be forgiven by Jesus? or just still be "right with God"?

Well said Rook. Have I mentioned you were missed?

....even though you missed the intended irony of my post. Wink

So many cats, so few good recipes.

Or, redundant.

But, I was talking about theists. Theists usually glaze over me for some reason.

No, I believe boring was the right word.

The idea of theists debating with each other is like two children debating about which one of their action figures is better.

"Oh yeah, well mine has a shield!"

"But mine has a rocket that can break through your shield!"

Are you telling me that whether or not Optimus Prime could defeat all of Cobra by himself isn't a legitimate debate?

Pffft, whatever dude.

It is a legitimate debate. That's the problem. With debate.

I understand the concept of sharpening your debating skills but what your introduction says to me is that you want to able to stand firm in your beliefs and opinions no matter what someone says, no matter how compelling the argument.

An open mind for give and take and two-sided conversations seems like a more pleasant way to share ideas. I am a little wary. For now, I will let Girly handle the swearing as he is in rare form, but if necessary, I will join in.
I assure you that if you could present a viable naturalistic explanation for the origin of the universe that I would strongly consider leaving Christianity. I haven't seen such proof, and thus I remain a theist.

In the words of Joseph Joubert, "Those who never retract their opinions love themselves more than they love the truth." I assure you I love the truth more.

So the only reason to believe in God is because the beginning of the universe is unexplained?

No offense but from the beginning of the universe to any god to your god to your religion is one hell of a stretch.

And that being the basis of your belief, and way of life, and future employment ummm questionable.
