A graceful exit
I found this woman's approach to death pretty refreshing.

"Whatever religion brings you comfort, I am happy that you have that. However, respect that we are not religious. Please, please, please do not tell Brianna that I am in heaven."

"Mother dies from cancer and leaves hilarious (and foul) letter to her family"

God does not work in mysterious ways — he works in ways that are indistinguishable from his non-existence.
Jesus had a pretty rough weekend for your sins.

"Don't answer that. A rhetorical question."

Thanks for posting that!

I'm not sure why it was foul, but it was definitely brilliant.

That's what a ship is, you know. It's not just a keel and a hull and a deck and sails, that's what a ship needs but what a ship is... what the Black Pearl really is... is freedom. -Jack Sparrow

I've got a feeling that Jeff might regret posting that if some years from now he falls in love again and wants to get married.

Good letter, though. Got the sniffles.

That made me tear up, but good thing my eyes were dry...

I don't think it should matter. No matter what happens she was his wife, and she is the mother of his child. A future love interest would need to respect that he has a past. Which I hope wouldn't be that big of a deal.

I prefer fantasy, but I have to live in reality.
