A haiku is a, must for one to look more than, as if just mere dust

A haiku is a, must for one to look more than, as if just mere dust
I don't know why, but I have become rather frustrated with the whole anti-intellectualism here as of late. There is at least one way to confront it with blatant insults out of frustration, but I thought that perhaps a better way would be to construct something more abstract. Something with a subtle dig at the stupid so that they might enjoy it and never be any the wiser as to the insult given to them by me. I decided on haiku poems. I am no artist. I am no master of words. And I am not deep. But I don't think these are all that bad. Anyone got an interest in sharing or making some of their own? Doesn't matter what topic they are about, but it might be fun to try and say something without saying it outright.

Knowledge is but one

Way of looking at oneself

Some see no reflection

Ignorance is bliss when

One at understandings edge

Unaware, not beyond

No mere mortal can

Look upon intellect and

See its end, in-form

I cannot look in

My mind and see when it was

Void of a just cause

My mind and my brain
inseparable are they;
I die, I am gone.

Skepticism is not a position; it is an approach to claims.
Science is not a subject, but a method.

The stars around me,
overhead and underfoot,
shine on regardless.

Forever a star
burns upon the nighttime sky
until forever dies

They sit in Ivory Towers... clutching to the beliefs they know all.

Making them secure.

First they thought the universe expanded, then they were sure the universe contracted.

Science of Delusion.

For no matter how much I use these symbols, to describe symptoms of my existence.
You are your own emphasis.
So I say nothing.

In the white mist – a dove coos.
Going nowhere.

The cricket gave a timid chirp.
But again – rain frightened him quiet.

The first rooster crows in the distance.
But there is no need to face the world yet.

The brook may carry its leaves away,
but the tree remains.
Autumn.

The soft glow of freshly-fallen snow.
Sleep comes quietly.

The sad comfort of the ticking clock
on a quiet winter night.

Yeah, I'm one of those who subscribe to the idea that in non-Japanese haikus it's not the syllables that matter (it's not really syllables in Japanese either), but the seasonal theme. And yeah, it says unregistered under my name. Get over it.

"E se non passa la tristezza con altri occhi la guarderò."

Here's one just for you :

Listening to the hedgehog
shuffle through the fallen apples.
Lonely summer night.

Jerry Lewis wore new socks every show; I've worn these socks before.

Short and to the point
unelected monachy
virtually real
