A hasty introduction!
Hey Guys & Gals!

I've been a listener to the Thinking Atheist Podcast since around September 2010 (I think) and I have always enjoyed it - listening to the lastest episode the forums were mentioned rather a lot so I figured I'd bite the bullet and sign up for them seeing as I had nothing better to do this evening! Tongue

Regarding myself I'm 19 and from the filthy baby eating socialist continent of Europe although seeing as I'm a Brit I and my compatriots also like to assert we are in fact distinct from those bloody continentals with their fine foods and frustrating aptitude for football (the real one, not the American bastardization of Rugby Football that is oxymoronically known as American Football Wink).

My interests include but are not limited to debating, music, PC gaming/hardware, working out, socializing (with or without the assistance of fermented beverages) and history.

I've been a self describing atheist since about the age of 17 although prior to that was a very long period of what I would personally term agnostic apatheism where the issue didn't really come up and I didn't really delve to far into it. At the moment I'm still closeted at home not because I worry what my parents would say - I'm sure they'd be fine with it but rather it's that I don't want to cause distress to my decidedly more religious grandparents (particularly my maternal grandmother who is now in her 80's).

Anyway I look forward to many fun and fruitful discussions on this forum!

Goose

Hello there!

I'm from Cheshire so I can unfortunately not lay claim to Jockhood like your good self Big Grin!

Is there anyway to quote multiple people in the same post ;P?

@ Morondog Damn you for discovering my cunning plan to infiltrate this forum and advertise poorly made Chinese knock offs of big name brands.
@ Kineo I'm pleased to say I have exceeded my baby sacrificing quota for this week.

How active is Seth in his participation on these forums by the way?

one of the mods hughsie is from your neck of the woods. Yes there is there's a button next to where it says reply it looks like a guy in a blue shirt with green circle next to him. When you've selected the quotes you want scroll down to the text box and click "quote these posts now" and reply your heart out.

If this is your idea of a hasty introduction, I fear what might come with something less speedy. Tongue
