A new typo of word game
For those who like word games, this may be fun:

Start with a well-known phrase or expression. It can be anything: a famous quote; an advertising slogan; proverb; sign; book, movie, or song title, etc. Change one and only one letter, either by substitution or by omission, to come up with an interesting misprint. You can also change the punctuation.

The idea comes from an old contest in New York Magazine. To give credit where it's due, in the examples below I've added the name of the author if it wasn't me.

"And God said, Let there be light: and there was night." Ron Wren

"A rabbi's foot brings good luck." Theodore H. Spaeth, Tom Morrow

"A bird in hand is worth two in the bus." Mary Ann Madden

SMALL APARTMENT FOR RUNT Fred Needhammer

"Black as the pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever God may be
For my unconquerable soup." Judith Klein

"Braise the Lord!" Mary Ann Madden

PLEASE DO NOT FEEL THE ANIMALS B.A. Scheiner

"To be or not to be. What is the question?" Paula Roizman, Susan Aronson

"Mary had a little limb . . . " Xerxes Mifravinoid

"I hate to see a grown man dry." Mary Morris

"The Greatest Story Ever Sold" Elizabeth Ehrlich

"God help those who help themselves." Paul Weiss

"Do unto otters as you would have them do unto you." Margot Best, Christine Jordan

"Life, liberty, and the pursuit of sappiness . . . "

"In the beginning was the Ford . . ."

Religious disputes are like arguments in a madhouse over which inmate really is Napoleon.

I will share with you my favourite technique: take the "L" out of every occurrence of the word public that you see Smile Makes for much humour... and once you start, it's impossible to stop...

Pubic holidays, pubic speaking, pubic toilets... these are just some of the joys that await you Big Grin

Two wrongs don't make a fight

Do note, feed the animals

objects in mirror may be closer, then they appear

No left-hand turds

center lane is for burning only

the sky is calling

nuns don't kill people

a life worth living, is a life worth halving
