A place to visit
Saint Pierre and Miquelon. It's a small island off the south coast of Newfoundland. It's not a part of Canada. They fly the French flag and is a part of France but I believe they are self governed(I'm not into politics so I don't know how that shit works). It's an interesting little place with a population of about 5 or 6000 and they really like to party. There are two bars in town(one a kind of lounge and the other a dance bar) and one day I was having a drink in one. When I went inside the town was dead. When I came out the street where both bars are was packed. I was in there no longer than an hour. I think everybody on the island was there. You got kids going in the bars which is a little strange (drinking age is 16 there I believe) and younger kids playing and dancing on the street to the music coming from one of the bars. They have some nice scenery and a pretty cool graveyard. An interesting mix of French and Newfie culture!
If you've ever been to St. John's and Paris you'd think they had a baby and called it Pierre. It a small, odd and wonderful place. See it before you die!
