If Eris has anything to say, she'll be speaking in {}
If you think I'm insane, I don't care

Back in the 80s, I used to inhale a magic powder that made me act like that.

ADHD seems to be the "hip new thing", just like Autism was a few years ago.

Everyone and their grandmother seems to be suffering from it.

RE: ADHD
Just like people here know the bible inside and out, many parents of ADHD children know the 'treatments' inside and out.

damn near every single one I've talked to face to face or on some sort of forum has tried everything before resorting to meds.
-diet -junk food, dyes, schedule, dairy, gluten and every other diet on the face of the earth
-allergy testing for everything under the sun
-OT therapy, karate, dance, and any other activity that will help with brain neuron connections and crossing over the midline of the body, exercise, sleep schedules
-school accommodations from who their neighbor is, to lists, etc

my point being that every parent I have met- has exhausted every idea they have read about, no matter how far fetched to find an answer--please don't dismiss them as not being educated on parenting because they aren't French.

I thought it was the "hip new thing" 20 years ago. I think that's when my classmates were snorting ritalin in class.

Yes I do think it's over diagnosed. However I know I have it after denying my diagnosis for a few years.

However it's not a "fad". Just google adhd brain scans and you can see the difference in brain activity for yourself.

Also I should add a note. When a new disease gets described the amount of people having said disease goes up for reasons that should be obvious.
