I'm not even being sarcastic like usual. I'm not embarrassed to admit that I'm anxious for sex robots to become a thing.

Allow me to clarify. Thinking about the concept gives me an erection.

Super humans who are sexier, stronger and smarter will arrive by 2029 as brains begin to fuse with machines, Google expert claims

Dude's got an 86% correct track record on technology prophecies. I want a chip in my head so I can be sexier, stronger, and smarter too.

There is only one really serious philosophical question, and that is suicide. -Camus

Is it just fantasy or is that the time frames are too optimistic?

Mathilda, being a professional in the field, knows a lot more on the topic than any layman alarmist. Right now, any AI, deserving the title, is pure fiction.

Secondly, I don't know why this topic is always cropping up, but any AI would need basics. Casing, since it can't exist in the void. Processing power, lots of it, storage, lots of it, energy, lots of it.

It's also dependent on our hard- and software, since it can't come up with anything more advanced on it's own. It would mirror the time, knowledge and capabilities of it's creators. And they won't stand idly by while an AI society with independent supply lines, support and factories is established.

All of this only scratches the surface, of course. Suffice to say that this is science fiction at it's purest. Kind of a terminator alarmism, geared to impress the credulous.
