I'm pretty sure he died years ago too. Weeping

It turns out that erroneous reports of his death were quite common. Consider

ABC News Wrote:His death brought to an end years of questions on whether he was still alive — sparked by a false report of his death more than three decades ago. Though Vigoda took it in stride, the question of whether he was dead or alive became something of a running joke: There was even a website devoted to answering the much-Googled question, "Is Abe Vigoda dead?" (On Tuesday, it had been updated with "Yes," with the date of his death.)

Wow. I knew I'd heard sometime back that he'd died. At least I know I'm not crazy but it's sad to know that I was taken in by these reports. Oh well, I'm not perfect, though I sure try to be. Tongue

He is deformed, crooked, old, and sere,
Ill-fac’d, worse bodied, shapeless every where;
Vicious, ungentle, foolish, blunt, unkind,
Stigmatical in making, worse in mind.

RE: Abe Vigoda has died.
So, we just had the following conversation in my office:

ME: Abe Vigoda died

23 year old kid who works for us: Who?

Other middle aged colleague: you know, Tessio in the Godfather . Fish in Barney Miller .

23 YO: blank stare

Damn we are all old.

I think Morgan Freeman gets reported dead about once a year.

My 22 year old knew both. I taught that damn kid well. Tongue

RE: Abe Vigoda has died.
He was my favorite character in Barney Miller.

Geez, 94 is a good, long life.

See here they are the bruises some were self-inflicted and some showed up along the way. - JF
