Can anyone cite some statistics?

There are various numbers reported. Pew research for example. For two years running, Gallup has reported about 10% to 11% (depending on how the question is asked) to be Atheists/Aganostics.

Couldn't see that on mobile. It'll be interesting to see how they define atheist for that question.

I also can't find that specific question or graph. I need more than just "pew 2008"

Sadly, it sure doesn't seem like there are accurate rates to be found. I found color-coded charts for religions by country, and lists of most/least religious countries, but who knows how accurate or factual they really are.

And as someone pointed out, I think there are definitely 'closeted' atheists not even counted.

Not a big deal. I was just curious Smile

We did a little poll here and most people are not publicly out as atheists. Most of us live in the closet still.
