"Eat not the fruit of the tree of knowledge, for ye shall die. (eventually) (like 900 years or so) " ~ God

I've heard it argued it was a spiritual death. What ever that means.

The Buzzsaw of Science... Brilliant!

Can I use that one in the future?

Sure! I don't own it. Thumbsup

Saying Adam lived 900 years is like saying Ancient Jews slaughtered tens of thousands of people.

RE: Adam lived how long!?
In a word. No. But the more important focus is on the 'false start' that alleges an Adam or Eve.

We know with as near a certainty as knowledge is capable of that all organisms on earth are related. All use DNA or RNA as their genetic code. The code for turning DNA into protein is similar in just about all cases and identical in many. The fossil records leave little doubt that the span of time involved in the creation of modern multi-cellular life has been about 3.5 billion years, most of which was spent with only unicellular creatures inhabiting the earth.

If humans are descended from a non-human ancestor, which biology shows definitively, then the story of Adam and Eve is wrong in its particulars without question. It is not even valuable for people who don't accept it as true, because it suggests that humans have some special value beyond that of other creatures.

Just stating a fact.

Supposedly god meant, well, ordinary death, as idea of soul wasn't here at the time.

The first revolt is against the supreme tyranny of theology, of the phantom of God. As long as we have a master in heaven, we will be slaves on earth.
