From my girlfriend: Bitch, let's go get a Starbucks. Cool.
From my husband: Bitch, bring me another beer. Not cool.

The meaning derives from intent, content, context, tone, and source.

Same diff.

We have enough youth. How about looking for the Fountain of Smart?

Thats how i like to think about words, unless it's directed or used in a completely racist context WHILE BEING SERIOUS.

I see it that you are not racist…. but I think there is one critical element that you overlooked.

The critical element is preparedness/ being ready of not the one talking… but of the one listening.

No matter how a person say things good-naturedly …
……..if the receiver is not prepared: that person may still get slap in the face : )

Precisely why is it that in a comedy or a play: the audience is prepared for some fun.

Now, if you are talking about freedom of speech:
….. yes, you can say that regardless of context, your freedom is protected.

I love how so far no one has raged on me. Even the man/woman i disagreed with was being nice.
I agree with your statement. I did overlook that. I wouldn't go and say it all willynilly in public to people i don't know.
But with people i know i would, me and my dad say it like it's just like the word 'fuck'. We use it like when we say 'fag'.
When we use those words... we don't think of everything it might be assosiated with.
Thankfully we can agree with eachother.
I'm loving this forum so far.

Son, at the end of the day it's just a bloody word.
It has absolutely no effect on you being able to say the word or not.
And if it really bothers you that much, just use the fucking word.
Just a little advice, don't walk around a very poor black neighbor hood asking "what is up nigger"
and expect to not get beat up. That's just the way shit is, deal with it nigger.
