RE: Personality test
Hobo took the test as well. He got ENFP. Hobo Tongue

Quote:Suggester - Everything is possible.

You are full of passion and imagination. Life for you is full of possibilities. You can quickly find connections among all kinds of information and matters and handle things confidently according to the patterns you find. You are eager to get validation from other people and also you are quite generous about your praise and support of other people. You are very casual and flexible. You are gifted with a rare eloquence and the ability of improvisation.

I don't think this test is accurate. Consider Hobo can't possibly be ENFP!!

I'm not a fan of 2 answers. Especially when there is an entire range of human experience to account for.

I'd say INTJ suits me best though.

Ditto. Exactly ditto.

INTP this time but usually INTJ.
At least 10 of the questions could have been answered as both and one was neither.

I take tests like this for entertainment mostly, but it really pisses me off when jobs try to use idiotic tests like this. I walked out on an application/interview process because they handed me a test that was filled with questions like this. Two choices, neither of which even remotely reflects my feelings or ideas. If an employer is not smart enough to recognize false choice fallacies and is using those false choices to determine who they will employ, I don't want to work for them anyway.

Excuse me, I'm making perfect sense. You're just not keeping up.

Crafter - Observing calmly but acting fast.

You are very patient and flexible. Normally you are a calm observer but as long as there is a problem, you try to find the solution as quickly as possible. You always analyze how things could be more efficient and solve practical problems with the support of abundant data. You are very interested in the cause and effect of things. You organize facts with objective, logical principles. You attach great importance to efficiency and virtue.

Again, ditto.

But knowing whether staff are intro- or extro- is useful so as to use an appropriate management style.
For example, if an introvert calls in to say they will be working from home... no problem. But if an extrovert does the same it probably means they had a wild party last night.

At a management training weekend, we, amongst many other activities, were asked to complete a few questionnaires. One pathetic question was about innovative thinking and there was a box and you had to draw yourself in relation to it i.e. a perfect Ops Manager would think inside the box etc.

I turned the paper over and drew a stick man in thick pen so that when viewed from the front it showed that I was in the box but on a different plane.

The feedback was... "We didn't know how to score that!"

No

Yes the last time I took this test I was looking for my first job. I did it on the computer and the results got printed out. The interviewer looked at it and laughed and said that he had only seen those results once before. I murmured something about always getting freaky results on such tests and he replied that the only time he saw such results was when he took the test himself. I didn't get the job.

I didn't mind taking that test though, but one thing that really really annoyed me was this one company who don't even bother interviewing you. You spend time and money and all they do is present you with an IQ test. I only ever get average results on an IQ test. Questions like which is the odd one out really throw me because any one of the choices could be the odd one out for so many different reasons. I spend too long analysing why the question is pointless and how you could actually learn how to perform well in IQ tests without actually becoming more intelligent.

I always regretted not writing an essay on the back of the IQ test explaining why their recruitment method sucked.

Anyway several years later a job agent got in touch and I guessed that it was for the same company. So I managed to get him to ask whether the first interview would consist of nothing but an IQ test. After checking with the company he got back to me and confirmed that it would be, so I then had the pleasure of turning them down. It felt good because this time I had publications, specialised experience and qualifications that they were looking for.
