How do you kill a troupe of clowns? You go for the juggler.

I once acted in a theater production about puns, it was a play on words.

Humpty Dumpty had a terrible summer but he had a great fall.

Use a mimefield.

Or a tiny car bomb.

NOTHING! You can't multiply a scalar with a vector!

(Edit to add: I love that joke because it's a math joke, a biology joke, AND a pun!)

Shocking I don't think that I know more than 3 people in my social circle from my uni days who would get that. You cannot multiply a scalar by a vector, but you can multiply a vector by a scalar. /mathematical physicist. If I think about it, I can dredge up a bunch of physics puns. A lot of them are pretty punful, though.

I'm liking a lot of responses here! I loves me a pun. I also love some really subtle humor, such as-

When I taught high school physics and math, I was lecturing on thermodynamics in the lab one time, and a student asked me what the purpose of that large box made of sheet metal and plastic was, hanging from the ceiling above the demonstration desk (fume hood for venting off toxic products of a chemical reaction). Without missing a beat, I told them it was for releasing hot air generated during the lessons. They ALL took that in as an explanation, except for that ONE boy in class who got this thoughtful look on his face, cocked his head, then kind if grinned. I just grinned back. He was the only one who got it! Laugh out load

My grandfather was a pun master. He once taped a salt packet to a battery and threw it on his supervisor's desk. Get it? Assault and battery.

I gifted this handkerchief to my grandfather for Christmas years ago. A crisp high five for whoever gets the pun first.
