Big Grin Twas a cheap shot at FT. Sorry man, but damn. You need to get out and live a little dude. I'm sorry you're childhood was ruined, but I've never found it all that difficult to use my imagination and enjoy a little silliness now and then. You just have to actually try.

But now I have come to believe that the whole world is an enigma, a harmless enigma that is made terrible by our own mad attempt to interpret it as though it had an underlying truth.

RE: Always a bloody Party Pooper...
I only clicked because I thought "Bloody Party Pooper" was going to be vaguely pornographic.

Instead, it was an article about my favorite superhero BATKID!! I am stoked for him.

And that fucking "Supervisor" can shove it all up his ass.

What a dick. The measuring stick of "How many X could be served if we put that money to THIS cause" is a complete fail. Because for every X, there's infinite other options, too.

Why do I need to 'get out and live a little"? I'm already alive enough. I don't see where you get the 'ruined childhood' thing from... My childhood was perfectly satisfactory; I am the person I am now possibly due to my upbringing entirely (lets ignore the dyscalculia and likely autism for a moment). Simply because I didn't go around pretending I was a superhero or other silly things like that often, doesn't mean my childhood was any worse or better than anybody else's (though now I look back at then I did pretend things, I think 'I was an idiot back then.' and continue to be annoyed by that).
As for the silliness part; it annoys me. I can understand when children make up these fantasies, their hyperactive little brains are busy at work, but it still annoys me. It's hard to explain why it annoys me.

The people closely associated with the namesake of female canines are suffering from a nondescript form of lunacy.

I see that. I'm sorry man. You're a good dude regardless of anything, so I'm not too concerned about the details. Just answer one thing, tell me this makes you smile.

My father exposed myself and my siblings to Monty Python early on; I am highly susceptible to almost anything Monty Python.

Then I'm not worried about you. Big Grin

It was possibly cruel to the poor non-white youth of that area who could be suffering from lethal diseases, that this little kid was paraded around town like that. I disagree with it too.

"He looked so cute in his Batman costume though", and that's what sells. That's why it happened. People need to feel good about themselves.
