RE: American education
You have compulsory education in America, if you do not meet the criteria the government sets as approved teaching. It could be determined to be child abuse. If you teach a child 2+2=5 and not to believe anyone that tells your child other wise, the government will intervene and remove your child from your care. This goes for every other subject, you can teach opposing views but they must be taught also what the government sets as approved education. Now if there is conflict between what you teach your child and what the government has ordered to be taught, and which the child refuses to learn such and such because of the opposing view. You will have to explain your actions and possibly could face jail time if its shown to be psychologically or emotionally harmful to the child. This is deemed as brain washing and manipulation which are enforced by laws in America.

The best interest of the child, comes before any of your rights as a parent. There are many cases of children being removed from parents for teaching unethical things like racism. Only when it conflicts with ethical standards set by the society though.

The only reason this wont be done in the case of creation museum is because of religion is so prominent in our societies. It should be deemed unethical as teaching children 2+2=5, and technically is against the law.

Arguing with a Christian is a lot like playing chess with a pigeon. You can be the greatest player in the world, yet the pigeon will knock over all the pieces, shit on the board and strut away triumphantly.

Sorry, but you're just making stuff up now. It sounds like a whole lot of how you think it ought to be with very little, if any, facts.

RE: American education
The USA, most definitely, needs a Constitutional amendment to address our problems with education.

I personally think it's worth another civil war.

“The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser men so full of doubts.” ― Bertrand Russell

Technically you can teach Racism so long as its not government funded.

The main distinction in regards to speech is that of whether it's funded or not. If your not funded by government then you can say almost anything so long as it's not hate speech.

Example.

We should kill all x = wrong

All x is a problem for our country and is holding us back= ok

Yes the content can be stupid, malevolent, or just weird but that's what we give for the 1st amendment.

The idea is that society changes so that those social issues, LGBT, Feminism, Atheism, become more accepted. Which while slow, is occurring.

Just an outsider looking inn.

Thanks for clarifying. I'm not sure if that's completely accurate, but I can't specifically refute it so I'll accept it unless I find examples to the contrary.
I'm just paraphrasing Neil deGrasse Tyson here but since I can't think of any recent breakthroughs in science (of which I pay pretty close attention) that were made by "American-born" scientists, I'm pretty confident that the statement is, in general, quite accurate. If nothing else it does prove a point.
