Possible Census Questions:

This post will be continuously modified to reflect input and my own ramblings.
I'm designating the questions with letters for quick reference.
Please submit questions, modifications and requests for deletions.


Demographics:

Male/Female
Age <18 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, >60
Married/Single/Divorced/Widowed
Children
Nationality
Country of birth
Country of residence
Education level
Political affiliation

Income:

Possible questions to include:

a) Were you raised in a religious home?
b) What belief system? Christian (denomination), Jewish (sect), Muslim (sect), other (name), none
c) Siblings? If so what are their religious beliefs
d) Were you ever a church leader? (i.e. Priest, Deacon, Preacher, Imam, Rabbi)
e) Have you ever lost a job because of your non-belief?
f) Have you had family relations estranged/severed because of your non-belief?
g) Have you lost friends because of your non-belief?
h) Were you ever molested by a church elder or priest?
i) Does your family know about your non-belief?
j) Do your closest friends know about your non-belief?
k) Do your co-workers know about your non-belief?
l) Did you go through depression after your deconversion?
m) How long did the process of deconversion take? (Not Y/N)
n) Is your life more or less joyous after your deconversion?
o) Do you miss any part of your old religious life? (Not Y/N)
p) Country of realized disbelief (if appicable) (Not Y/N) Considering removing
q) Country you were a citizen of when you started believing (Not Y/N)
r) Did you/do you ever regard the Bible as literal fact?
s) Did you/do you ever regard the Bible as historically accurate?
t) Age you took the Salvation Prayer/got saved/began to become more interested in religion? (Not Y/N)
u) Age you started questioning religion seriously (Not Y/N)
v) Age you stopped believing (if applicable) (Not Y/N)
w) How many sects have you belonged to? (Not Y/N)
x) Indoctrinated
y) Genital mutilation
z) Were you ever a missionary?
aa) What is your favorite color?
bb) Have you ever seen a grown man naked?
cc) Do you believe in ghosts? (i.e. ghostexorcist, ghost etc)
dd) Do you believe in magic? In a young girl's heart..fa la lal la

I think in the end, I just feel like I'm a secular person who has a skeptical eye toward any extraordinary claim, carefully examining any extraordinary evidence before jumping to conclusions. ~ Eric ~ My friend ... who figured it out.

There needs to be some culling of questions too. The questionnaire shouldn't take an hour to do! Maybe a question limit of like 30?
