Hymn 284 If you could hie to Kolob

if you could hie to Kolob in the twinkling of an eye,
and then continue onward with that same speed to fly,
do you think that you could ever, through all eternity,
find out the generation where Gods began to be?

or see the grand beginning, where space did not extend?
or view the last creation, where Gods and matter end?
me thinks the Spirit whispers, "No man has found pure space,
nor seen the outside curtains, where nothing has a place.

the works of God continue, and worlds and lives abound
improvement and progression have one eternal round
there is no end to matter, there is no end to space
there is no end to spirit, there is no end to race.

there is no end to virtue
there is no end to might
there is no end to wisdom
there is no end to light
there is no end to union
there is no end to youth
there is no end to priesthood
there is no end to truth
there us no end to glory
there is no end to love
there is no end being
there is no death above

WHY do you read the book of lies? Picking one's nose is more intellectually satisfying.

Are you able to sign these? I just ordered one and this thread is several years old now. If possible I want a snarky comment about me and a signature.

I have had a few insights over the years which I feel are appropriate to this thread, given the image of the two girls in T-shirts.

First, I had this thought that it would give much better "penetration" of the market if any forum had a live nude sex cam page.

Secondly, God is a star sign.

Apart from that, I am open to dialogue.

RE: An atheist's critique of the Bible (Book and eBook now available)
I don't think a comprehensive critique of the Bible's contents or any holy text is necessary. You can discount it without quotations of scripture. The idea that an omniscient being would decide to write a book for a race of infinitely less intelligence is just ridiculous. And why is it that the book just happens to come right when the Jewish people were looking for a messiah? Why does the omniscient being resemble ancient cultures in his moral system and behavior? Let's grant for a second that the omniscient being did decide to become an author, why isn't every word on the page glorious and intelligent? Why does God's knowledge seem to stop exactly where you'd expect an ancient scribe's knowledge to stop? Then we have to consider the idea of a personal god. If He's a personal god, why does he hide? Why does He require fallacious arguments be used to argue for His existence? Why doesn't he provide a justification within the Bible? Why does He create man to sin and then threaten to punish all who fail to come to Christ? Keep in mind, he knew from the second he created the universe who would go to Hell and who wouldn't. He created man to fall from glory. There's absolutely no consistency. There are too many contradictions within Christian theology. And the Bible is too reminiscent of ancient culture for anyone to take it seriously as a holy text. One need not open the Bible to realize that it is not the word of an omniscient god.

This is why all religions have parts of the truth(The Word) but they are not all true.

The truth? What truth? 2+2=4 is a truth. But it's not the truth.

Gospel of Jesus Christ can not be traced back by mortal men. It existed before this Earth was organized out of eternal unorganized matter.
It already existed billions and billions of years ago. It is older than our universe(our world).

You actually made me laugh. The Gospel of Jesus existed when it was written. It didn't exist before.
