Another Asterisk next to a Patriots Super Bowl
And a likely 2-4 Game Suspension for Brady after the Wells Report find he had knowledge of the cheating and was aware it was against the rules. At this point the NFL should take a page from the NCAA and Vacate all Patriots Superbowl wins.

When Somalia exists in the world anything related to sports is unimportant in the big picture.

I really hope they punish Brady for this, otherwise the NFL's integrity as a whole will be shot (already pretty precarious). This was also yet another superbowl win unfairly snatched from the Seahawks (although they did luck out with the replacement refs that one time year before last... poor GB). Maybe next year will be more fair, sigh.

Goodevil do not care in the slightest.

Seahawks have zero justification to be proclaimed snubbed. It didn't effect their game and to alter the opponent doesn't give them any boost. It didn't even help the Patriots anyway either other than the fact, they didn't turn over the ball a bunch in that half which in potential alternate scenario could of happened.

Systematic season long cheating doesn't matter now?

Not when you're only getting caught after it is happening. but recall, Cantor there does live in that thar Massachusetts.

It's just like the slew of players in the 70s that get overshadowed how they had been using steroids and methamphetamines or altering their grips with stickem. In sports, many teams will always follow the go so far as you can see until you improve security system.

First, I believe the word is "asterisk" (Asterix is a cartoon character).

Second, I agree with Cantor that this is a tempest in a teapot. I think cheating is endemic not only in the NFL, but in professional sports in general. When the stakes are that high, players will do anything to get an edge, including whatever cheating they feel they can get away with. It has always been thus. The Patriots have been caught at it several times now, but I would be willing to bet they are not the only ones doing it.

Third, give me a break about the Seahawks. There is no evidence that any ball inflation hijinks were going on during the Super Bowl, and it's highly unlikely -- the cat was already out of the bag, and I'm sure they were watching that like hawks. Seattle lost because they made a bad decision at the end of the game, not because of any cheating. They have no-one to blame but themselves.

It's interesting to note that Dallas beat Detroit thanks to a questionable call; then Green Bay beat Dallas thanks to a questionable call; then Seattle beat Green Bay due to an epic collapse by the Packers in the final 5 minutes; then New England beat Seattle due to the Seahawks bungle(s) at the end of the game. You could say that the wrong team won all 4 of these games. But who wins a playoff game is often arbitrary anyway. These teams are all pretty good, and any of those games might just as well have gone the other way if they played it again a week later.
