Another Supreme Court vacancy soon?
Rumors are rampant that Justice Kennedy is close to retirement. He was supposed to have a get together with his former law clerks next year however they moved the date to this weekend. Monday is the courts last public session of the year, it's possible he announces his retirement.

Meh. The important issues we face(d) are now settled law. Roe v Wade will probably never be reversed. If it is, there are multiple ways around it, (Plan B). SS marriage is the law of the land. It will never be reversed. The REPUBLICAN Chief Justice was the deciding vote on the ACA as a tax, which proves, no matter what party, judges vote what they think is the law, not their party. Hopefully Dumpy will find a better judge than the one who decided it's reasonable to expect an employee to DIE and stay with his employer's property, (Frozen Trucker case). The pendulum of political history swings back and forth. The main driver of US cultural change is the mass media, (Hollywood), and has been for 75 years. They are liberals, and that's not about to change. Life goes on, and it ain't never going back to the halcion days of yore, that LDH pees himself over.

Insufferable know-it-all.Einstein God has a plan for us. Please stop screwing it up with your prayers.

RE: Another Supreme Court vacancy soon?
The specter of a liberal justice retiring right now scares the shit out of me, especially if the orange fuckface won a second term. The worst part is even prior to President Covfefe's scapegoating win, is that the GOP denied Obama his pick, which was in reality the voter's pick.

Just on the SCOTUS issue alone, I want Trump impeached as soon as possible, but at a minimum I want him to lose in 2020. It is also why I am pissed at both the Bernie and Hillary "all or nothing" assholes.

SCOTUS is already leaning right. If they gain another, or maybe two more, it will take another generation to reverse all the corporate religious bullshit Reagan started, if we survive.

Anthony Kennedy to stay on Supreme Court.

Quote:Speculation has been mounting for weeks that Kennedy is planning to step down soon after 29 years on the SCOTUS bench. Though justices are appointed for life, their average retirement age is about 79, according to the Washington Post. Kennedy is nearly 81.

Many of Kennedy's law clerks have been eyeing the Ronald Reagan appointee with suspicion, with one tweeting, "Soon we'll know if rumors of Kennedy's retirement are accurate," the Associated Press reported Saturday. Kennedy himself moved up a planned reunion for former staffers from 2018 to this weekend. At the event, he even made a joke about it, teasing that he had a big announcement—the bar was open.

However, on Monday, the Supreme Court's press release webpage remained unchanged. Kennedy said nothing, and people took notice.

Need to think of a witty signature.
