Another missing airliner ...
Another Asian airliner abruptly vanishes.

Yup, and we're going to be in Indonesia next year flying a local airline within the country. Shocking

Indonesia's fine, it's the Malaysian ones you gotta worry about.
This is the third Malaysian airline this year.

I don't know if they're unlucky or they need to have a serious overhaul of their regulations of the airline industry.

I haven't any words. Sad

But as if to knock me down, reality came around
And without so much as a mere touch, cut me into little pieces

Scary stuff. It's like they have their own Bermuda Triangle.

See here they are the bruises some were self-inflicted and some showed up along the way. - JF

Can you fit a transponder in the carry-on?

I carry with me a "LifeLine" that is a waterproof compact radio and sends out an emergency signal with my position to four decimal places but for that to be useful I have to first survive the crash and then have someone pick up the signal and get rescue there in time.

Nah, ain't gonna happen. I always laugh inside when the flight attendant is doing their FAA required song and dance on how to put on a life jacket and exit the plane because I know full well no one survives a plunge into the ocean from 32,000 feet. The routine is only to make you feel better.

We carry the LifeLine with us when we Scuba dive in the event the boat drifts off or can't find us, hypothermia and dehydration aren't the way I want to go.
