Another nutcase politician - this time he's Irish
"An Independent Irish parliamentarian has used the biblical story of Noah's Ark to support his views on climate change.

Earlier this year, Danny Healy-Rae denied there was a human impact on climate change.

He told the Dáil (Irish parliament) "God above" controlled the weather.

In an interview for Hot Press magazine he said "facts" such as the Ice Age and Noah's Ark supported his views."

Which ice age? There were at least five going back to about 350Ma ago, then there was Snowball Earth at 650+Ma ago.

Oops, sorry, all that happened before the Earth was created!

Silly me!

Tomorrow is precious, don't ruin it by fouling up today.

Hmmm... I'm going to have to go back and re-read my bible, I don't remember the part about "Noah's Ice Age", was it before or after the flood?

Did he have to build a massive sled?

For some reason I'm picturing him sending out a squirrel that brings back an acorn as proof that the glaciers were beginning to recede. Big Grin

The Healy-Rae brothers are a fucking embarrassment. There's two of them elected to the Irish parliament. Before the brothers their father was running the show. It because of gobshites like them that I tend to spoil my vote whenever we have a general election. There's way too much parish pump politics here in Ireland, especially outside the pale..ie.. Dublin. The Healy-Raes represent Co. Kerry which is a bit of a backward kip.

Ok so I found my answers from the "answers in genesis website", and a headache from all my Facepalm ing . (I've heard about this website but until today I've never gone there)

Even though the ice age isn't mentioned in the bible they have somehow determined that it happened right after the flood and lasted a couple of hundred years! I'll spare you have they divined this information, also Mammoths came from elephants, and Neanderthals & Cro-Magnon came "somehow" from Noah's family. Incest can have that kind of effect on the gene pool. Blink

The more you know... Facepalm

If God controls the weather, then wouldn't the events surrounding Noah's ark only serve to prove how absolutely fucked we are? I mean, he didn't build the ark because everything was fine and dandy. He built it so divine climate change wouldn't kill every living thing in the world.

The gobshite is at it again. He is objecting to the government’s bill which seeks to ratify Ireland’s participation in the Paris Agreement. He said that the holes in the ozone layer were caused by “nuclear testing in the Pacific Ocean 50 years ago”. I need a drink!
