Any "anti-Christian" movies based on the Bible?
Are there any movies based on a negative perspective of Bible stories? Not sure how to word this. I hope it's clear.
Like, depicting the cruel side of the god of the Old Testament (slaughtering, atrocities blah blah).

Many verses are like silver threads
tied on the chimes of the stars-
if you pull them,
a silver peal makes the horizon vibrate.

RE: Any "anti-Christian" movies based on the Bible?
The anti-Christian movies I'm aware of are based on the church, more than the bible. The Name of the Rose, Dogma, Saved, The Boys of St. Vincent (serious trigger warning on that one), The Crucible, are all examples of these. Well, The Name of the Rose is open to some interpretation as to whether it's anti-Christian.

The Last Temptation of Christ is more-or-less based on the New Testament. Some Christians think it's anti-Christian.

A little Googling led me to a Wikipedia page of Biblical movies. I've only watched a couple of the ones on that list, so no promises about anti-Christian-ness.

Well, since no christian these days does exactly what the bible says, all biblical movies are anti-christian.

Does the 2+ hours of torture porn labeled 'The Passion of the Christ' count?

Some old bald headed guy walking up a hill, a bunch of children playing near by, they see him and shout "go up you bald head!"
The guy then mutters a pray to the all loving god.

A crow flies over head as the skies darken, Omen style music fads in.
A couple of behemouth bears come out of the woods and precede to slaughter 42 of the children tearing them limb from limb.
The bald man stands, watching, smiling. Looks to the heavens, gives a wink and says nice one god. Then continues up the hill, laughing as he walks.

I'm kinda hoping the upcoming film Noah is going to be exactly that. I'll probably be disappointed.

My partner was saying that The Bible would make a good HBO series, full of death and blood and incest Tongue

I'm sure most everyone on this forum has seen it, and it's a documentary instead of an actual movie, but I highly recommend Religulous. Bill Maher discusses a lot of the quite scary presedents set in the Bible, mostly with religious folk who know half as much about the Bible as Maher does. It's very amusing.
