http://wiki.lesswrong.com/wiki/Sequences
A huge reading material on things like rationality, logical and crytical thinking, overcoming biases, Bayes Theorem and such. Highly reccomendaded. http://www.gwern.net/ Site of a user of the above site. Has the author's opnions on different matters but always with sources, a kind of non-peer reviewed articles, but it has space for comments. http://www.talkorigins.org Mainly on evolution but very informative. http://www.2think.org/ Has book reviews on different scientific topics and some others. And it has random quotes at the main page, like those: Years ago, my mother gave me a bullet. I put it in my breast pocket. Two years after that I was walking down the street when a berserk evangelist heaved a Gideons Bible out a hotel-room window, hitting me in the chest. The Bible would have gone through my heart if it wasn't for the bullet. - Woody Allen Truth and Falsehood were bathing. Falsehood came out of the water first and dressed herself in Truth's clothes. Truth, unwilling to put on the garments of Falsehood, went naked. - Unknown Disregard my old posts. |
